Hey,
my name is Qingnan Sun (Chinese: 孙庆楠) and I just finished my PhD program at ARTORG Center for Biomedical Engineering Research at the University of Bern, Switzerland. Now I am a researcher at ARTORG Center. My research topic is the personalization of insulin delivery, based on the reinforcement-learning algorithms (read more).
I completed my studies in Automation and Control Technology at Chongqing University (CQU, China) and at Dresden University of Technology (TUD, Germany). After graduation, I researched as a scholar at the Institute of Electromechanical and Electronic Design (IFTE, Germany) for one and a half years. In April 2016, I started my PhD project here at ARTORG.
I have applied my knowledge and experience in Automation and Control Technology as well as in Reinforcement Learning for different projects:
- 2016 – 2020 PhD Project – AI-Based personalised blood glucose regulation
- 2014 – 2016 Scholar Project – Linear direct drive for short strokes (Info and Videos)
- 2014 Master’s Thesis – Pilot project at Bosch Rexroth for Industry 4.0
- 2012 Research Internship – Temperature control for a heating-cooling device (Info of the device)
- 2010 Bachelor’s Thesis – Modelling and Simulation of Electric Power Steering (EPS) system
- 2008 Innovation Program – On-site wireless testing system for building energy-saving
